Diwali Bash 2007 - Indian Dance and Chaat Food Festival
(Novemeber 3rd, 2007)

The second Annual Gala organized by Lend-A-Hand India, a non-profit foundation devoted for the cause of youth, was held on Friday, November 2nd at Pope Auditorium in Fordham University New York.

Over 100 people from all walks of life attended the event which was full of fun, food and music. Mr. Vik Atal, Chairman and CEO, City Cards and a Member of Lend-A-Hand-India's Advisory Board made opening remarks. He was encouraged by the participation of the young professionals and their passion to give back to the community. The program was compeered by Melanie Kannokada Miss India America. Among the performers were Bollywood Axion, eyeBLINK Dance and Stand-up Comedy by Devanshi Patel. The event also featured live auction by Carly Fergusson.

- Sev Puri / Chaat A tongue tingling liaison of crispy papri wafers, coarse potato mash and chickpeas embroidered with cool yogurt & tart tamarind chutney with a light sprinkling of roasted spices.
- Bhel An explosive medley of puffed rice, hot mix, potatoes, onions & cilantro tossed with lime juice and assorted chutneys
- Vada Paav known as food that powers the people of Mumbai, a potato based patties served in a bun with chutney Samosa & Kachori Chaat crisp turnover stuffed with lightly spiced potatoes and peas topped with tasty "Chhole"
- Mango Lassi Smoothie with mango, yogurt and cardamom powder and of course,
- Chocolate Fondue
